Mission

The NFLC exists to help people understand each other and the world around them.

The NFLC pursues its mission through partnerships with private businesses, government agencies, educational institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and individual scholars and policy makers from around the world.

Through research, collaborations, consultations, and projects, the staff and the fellows of the NFLC are dedicated to improving the nation's ability to understand and communicate with people around the world and to manage the unprecedented flow of information resulting from globalization.
