Video Learning Objects

Video Learning Objects are standalone units of instruction designed to help learners maintain and develop their preexisting proficiency in a target language. The core of each Video Learning Object is an authentic target language video segment accompanied by pedagogical activities designed to challenge the learner’s language skills and cultural knowledge. Video Learning Objects include comprehension support tools that complement each video segment and a list of resources that enrich and extend the learning experience.
To date, the NFLC has developed 634 VLOs in 24 languages and dialects, including:
